Elle la quitte en 2017 pour fonder l'agence AVEC, associée aux architectes Elise Pescheux et Alex Perret. L'agence est renommée Atelier Charlotte Vergély en 2021.

À noter que son époux Clément Vergély est également architecte à Lyon.
