Museum of Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom

City history museum at world heritage site by the Mersey River

"3XN’s winning proposal for a new British national museum; the Museum of Liverpool, will establish a dynamic, open and accessible structure that grows out of its riverside site. The site falls within the Liverpool World Heritage site and it is conceived as inclined or elevated platforms, gradually forming a sculptural structure. It is estimated that the new museum will attract at least 750.000 visitors on a yearly basis, and that Liverpool, with the Museum as a symbol of the Liverpool’s ongoing regeneration, will be elevatated into the front rank of European tourist destinations. Le design de New World Square a changé!
"New World Square, a planned development next to some of the most sensitive parts of the World Heritage Site in Liverpool, has been completely redesigned with the current curving buildings dropped for a non descript tower and flanking lower rise accommodation." http://www.skyscrapernews.com

Le nouveau musée est plutôt bien intégré au front d'eau, et, question design, même s'il ne casse pas des briques, il est de bonne facture.
Sinon, Le musée fait parti d'un réaménagement plus vaste, Mann Island
